Seeing Stars

I got a few more blocks done over the weekend.  All stars, too!! The first two are my February do. Good Stitches blocks.  Michonne asked us to make ribbon star blocks with yellow centers and aqua/turquoise ribbons. 

These blocks were so fun to make...plus I'm super in love with the color scheme!  I can't wait to see the finished quilt!  (I have a feeling I might need to make one just like it!! )
 
And I finished my second Swoon block.

 2 down, only 7 to go!  I just wish there were more hours in the day for sewing!

Sick Day

Today I stayed home sick with some horrific GI bug.  I would highly recommend trying to avoid this one.  It was so bad that I couldn't even sew!  (What the what?!?)  But in the past week I've managed to make a bit of progress on a few projects.  I finished my first Swoon block.  I'm using Denyse Schmidt's Sugar Creek and I'm kind of in love with it! 

I'm also working on a Single Girl.

I finished two whole rings and I have two more in progress!  Both of these blocks come together rather quickly and it's hard to put them down....(or lay on the couch all day while my sewing table taunts me!)  I did manage to eat some ramen noodles for dinner, so with any luck I'm on the up-swing and I'll be back to my sewing-obsessed self in no time! 

Less Words Wednesday

Yeah, a lot of people do Wordless Wednesday posts...I'm too chatty for that, and I think we all know it.  (And I know that it should be Fewer Words not Less Words...it's eating away at me...this is a mental exercise.)
