I finished the wedding quilt for my friend!

I pieced the back again but those pictures didn't come out so great...and I threw it in the wash before I checked the photos...(but I'll show you anyway...)
The most exciting part of the backing was the main fabric. I used Lace Elements in Pearl. It's just so pretty and so soft! I might have to get a little more for myself!
For the quilting I did straight lines, 2 inches apart. (And I quilted the happy couple's names and wedding date in at the bottom!) Somehow, despite the fact that it's a beastly size quilt, I made it through the quilting with NO PROBLEMS! Say what?!?
The last few times I quilted straight lines I used my stitch guide or painter's tape, but this time I actually marked the quilt top. It took some time to mark it, but it was easier for me to keep the lines straight. So I guess I'm going to have to suck it up from now on and mark the tops...sigh...
The colors came from the wedding palette and I LOVE them. (I'm so glad I got a little extra of each color for my stash!) As usual, I'm really attached to this quilt and I kind of want to snuggle up under it! Hopefully the bride and groom will feel the same!
Stats:
quilt name: Going to the Chapel
pattern: Yield by Heather Jones (Olive and Ollie)
size: 84" x 92.5"
fabric: 100% cotton (Lace Elements, Kona snow, slate, sage, lemon)
batting: 50% organic cotton, 50% bamboo
thread: Aurifil in cream (piecing) and King Tut in cream (quilting)

Beautiful quilt Shannon - love the colours!!!
